Airline miles for sale on Ebay  (1 Answer)

Guys, and Dolls, I saw airline miles for sale on Ebay. Different schemes are used by the sellers. Some buy the ticket for you with their miles, others ask you to pay a fee to tranfer the miles to your miles account. I saw mostly Delta and American. Have any of you used this option to travel?

Help, help ... please, help!  (11 Answers)

At present I am in Australia and was invited at a friend's place. When we left, one of the friends said:
"Thank your mother for the rabbits!"
I have no idea what the meaning of that sentence could be. Is there anyone from the VT-community able to explain that to me, please?

Why are there Taco Bells in Mexico City?  (5 Answers)

Taco Bell is a US chain of relatively bland Mexican food. Taco Bell has franchises in Mexico and apparently they do well. Are there similiar situations of an imitation ethnic food chain invading the country it imitates that you have seen?
In any case, is a taco at Taco Bell in Mexico different than one in the USA? And who goes into these places? I can see a MacDonalds successfully offering authenic USA chain burgers to the world, but not this. Without VT help I will never know. You see, I can not even get myself to go into a MacDonalds outside the US because I am not really interested in the question, is it just like home? and certainly I am not interested in eating US food when I travel outside the USA. With authentic Mexican food all around, I would have to be starving and with no alternative short of death to not choose the real thing. But I would like to know why this Taco Bell contradiction to logic exists. Did fate or curiosity ever get you to step into one of this type of contradiction? Please, share with me what you learned. bob
