I intend to drive from Geneva airport to Valle d'Aosta in mid-September. I understand that the shortest way lies through the Mont-Blanc tunnel, but somebody told me that I may have to wait several hours at the tunnel approach.
Is that true? What is the best way to get through the mountains to the Valle d' Aosta, taking into consideration that my wife suffers from fear of heights?
Thanks in advance!
