Which is the best tour trekkers of choice name and best value for the money. I was researching a place that it is only a two hour ride for $85USD, it includes drinks and lunch and other side activities that I am not interested. I would like a longer ride than 2 hours. Your recommendations are highly appreciated and so is my gratitude. I am making home for my stay in Ubud and from there branching to other locations for day trips.
I would highly appreciate recommendations. I have read post after post (almost 11pm and red eyed) and I not finding a good choice, a beautiful place will be an amazing blessing. I appreciate responses :) ~~~Thank you~~~
How much is the cost to hire a driver to see the following in 1 day: Goa Goyak, Guanung, Ubu palace, Garuda Wisnu Cultural Park, Pura Delem and ending at Rawah Lot.Noy necessary in that order. Is there local transportation? These locations are generally not far from each other.
Thank you for your responses.

I am entered into the Las Vegas WBFF in August. I am going to be in Ubud during the 3 months leading up to the comp. Can anyone recommend a PT that would be able to work with me?
I'd read some really conflicting reviews of the above place, and while the setting looks fantastic, the food looked awfully lacklustre and expensive. Given that it's a bit off the beaten path, are there any other places of the same range and style nearby that you could recommend? Or....even closer to town, but preferably with elevation.
We arrive Friday evening.
does anyone recognize Putu from this picture?
He was our driver when we stayed in Ubud Feb to March 2010.
Now we are coming back i December and would love to have him as out driver again, but I cant find his business card with mail address or phone.

hi i'm looking for cheap places to stay in ubud ? will be travelling solo in jan 2014. Clean place with friendly people around ..
We will be in Ubud for 2 days only and are looking for fairly central accommodation. We want to see the Monkey Forest, and stroll around the sites (I don't want to have to hire a car). We'd also like to see some of the rice field (I do understand that without a car we'll be on the beaten track).
We're after a private room, with ensuite. Clean but doesn't have to be fancy, that will allow us to appreciate Ubud by foot. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

I am wondering if there is anywhere in Ubud, or anywhere else in Bali where these wood carvers take on apprentices. I am amazed at the beauty of the wood sculpture I see from Bali, and especially Ubud, and I am hoping that there is some way that I can train/study under a woodcarver, whether formally or informally, for at least a year. But any help with any specifics about any carving courses would be appreciated. But I am hoping to find a carver who will be kind enough to take me on as a pupil/apprentice.

Advise given to me was to find a nice place to stay and then go and visit a place called the Yoga Barn as from there I could find many opportunities for health / healing networking and so forth etc.
Does anyone have any tips for art workshops of any kind? A central place like the Yoga Barn maybe and a website perhaps etc.
Are their any forums one can use to network - maybe to find other people in Ubud where one can share interests - ie photography, or just hook up for coffee etc.
I am planning to go Sept / October
I am not a beach or bar person. More inclined to seek peaceful environs....
Many thanks in anticipation.
P.S. I am in my 40's so I would like some comforts but it doesn't have to be extravagant. Gone are the days of backpacking :)
