I am interested in hiring a car with a driver for a day in Toulon. Does anyone have any experience with this?
The cruise ship is going to port at La Seyne Sur Mer 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on August 19. We are not sure whether we should visit Toulon (e.g. cable car ride and swim at the beach) or visit Bandol and Sanary Sur Mer. My teenage child would certainly love to have a swim for a couple of hours at a lovely beach. Any suggestions? If it is the latter, please provide travel information from La Seyne Sur Mer to Bandol and Sanary Sur Mer. Is it easy to take a cab from ther back to the port and how much would that cost?
I too am arriving by cruise ship to Toulon. From the reviews I have read, it seems that the cruise ship excursions are ridiculously expensive and not that great for this port. Is there a way to get to some of the nicer towns like Aix en Provence, Cassis, Castellet, etc. on our own? I don't know how far away they are, but I don't think we could do it
by taxi. Thank you for your advice.
We arrive from Corsica at the ferry port Sunday morning and have an afternoon flight..we have luggage so don't want to sightsee as such, is it worth going to hyeres area as it's coastal ? Any tips re: best transport ?

Our ship will be docking in Toulon, France early December. I am thinking Aix en Provence is probably the best choice. Does anyone know of good shore excursion companies? I would really like to tour a perfumerie or lavender field, but I don't think lavender is in season that time of year :(
I'm visiting Toulon for the first time .How far is the city from the airport and are there Taxis readily available ?

Hello Toulon locals / visitors:
Please could you let me know if you know any churches that are:
- within easy access to an international airport (max 1h30 mins travel)
- picturesque, with a minister / priest that can speak English
- with hotels / apartments / gites to rent nearby
- which has a great natural landscape view outside
- good transport(public and private) available in the area
Thank you so much in advance!
