Spend 24hours in Tihany

Dear all, I will spend 24 hours in Tihany. Is there anything that is a MUST SEE and MUST DO in the 24 hours? Thanks in advance! Amy

Well, in Tihany the absolute must see is the medieval abbey. Splendid. You can also visit some local restaurants (there are plenty there) and definitely try Hungarian wine :) If you're there in summer or it's still warm, swim in Balaton. Happy travels

Tihany can be seen in an 2hrs max!. Very small village, does have a really nice restaurant near the church that overlooks Lake Balaton. As for swimming in the lake, no chance I wouldn't do it, sorry to the last entry. You dont say if this stay is part of a bigger trip or how you are getting around, so some other options are Balatonfured, about 15mins away. Veszprem is a nice place to see too, about 30kms away, I visited by bus. If you want an idea, I have photos of these places & some others in the region. [original link]/members/neilzonwheelz
