First-time visitor looking for a nice (not rustic) beachfront resort. Looking for something not far from at least a small town with some shops and restaurant options. From what I've read, Nassau is way to busy and touristy. Not looking for a remote island escape but a balance with nice beach and a little civilization.
what is the best and easiest way to get from paradise island to exuma?
Hi, my boyfriend and I went to a travel agency today to price out somewhere in Bahamas. The travel agent told us about Nassau. Can someone tell me how it is? What excursions did you do? We were thinking of end of May, beginning of June. How's the weather at that time of the year? I have always wanted to go to Exuma, but the travel agent said there is not a lot to do there. If we go to Nassau. Is there a way to get to Exuma?
My boyfriend said he would like to go somewhere in the Caribbean. Any suggestions where to go? We also thought of the Cayman Islands, but we could not find an all inclusive place to stay.
We are going to be traveling 4/3-4/9 of this year. My husband's passport expires 6/7 of this year. When I go to the US Passport website, it says Passport Validity: Valid at time of entry. I'm reading this that my husband's passport will be okay to travel and return. Am I right? I know some countries require the passport to be valid for a certain period of time after the time of travel. I wish he would just renew it, but he wants to wait since we won't be traveling outside the country anytime soon after this trip and he things it would be a waste of money to renew now if we don't travel outside the US for another few years.
miami beach to nassu paradise island bahamus

Please provide me with reputable taxi services that we can call for trips between One & Only on Paradise Island, Bahamas and Soloman's grocery store in Paradise Island along with the prices for each service.
We are thinking about spending the winter in the Bahamas but don't really know which island would be best for us. We like to hike, snorkel, birding and beach comb away from the cruise ship crowd. Grand Bahama looks like it might have more remote areas with poor access and Nassau looks like it has good roads but few remote areas, is this true?
Hi, my wife and I are looking to go to Nassau in August, and we see tons of beautiful pictures but we also see dark stuff in the ocean water practically up to the beach. What is it? We want to be able to swim around and enjoy the water. Thank you!
How do you leave half moon clay to go to the bahamas
Headed to Sandals for a week. Wondering about fun tours around area. We like smaller boat trips. Private charter. Maybe a beach bar hop by boat? Any suggestions?
I'm looking for a room near Adelaide Village for 4 nights in April and would like to pay under 100/night. Wondering if there's anything not heavily advertised, a B & B type thing. Not looking to do the usual tourist thing--just a Florida resident who has a friend in Adelaide, would like to have my own room nearby during the visit.
We will be arriving at Nassau the end of March. What is there to do at this port. We have been there several times and did not do much. Went over to Atlantas and walked around also did the straw market. Would prefer not to repeat either. ( Not a fan ) Just looking for a nice beach that we could hang out, get lunch and drinks. Use of facilities a must. We read some reviews about safety issues at this port. Are they a factor? We have read about beach access by the Rui, but it sounds like the use of facilities is a factor. We do not arrive until the afternoon and leave at night.
I went to the Bahamas several years ago, and bought a bottle of perfume called NOTHING which I was told that I could only purchase in the Bahamas. My bottle of NOTHING got spilled in my suitcase while I was on vacation, and of course it was spilled all over my clothes but there was none left in my bottle.. I have been wandering how I could purchase another bottle since I have know plans to visit the Bahamas in the near future. Please help me purchase my favorite perfume.
We are traveling to the Bahamas for our honeymoon in early november. I've looked into Sandals all inclusive and it's super high, $600 per night for the two of us. I know its going to be expensive but I was taken back a bit at that cost. Could we save more if we pay for everything sperately, food, hotel, activities?
which straw market is better for designer purses Freeport or Nassau??
Are there construction jobs in the Bahamas? Also, If I am moving from the Mainland US, how do I arrange for a container for my belongings? Thanks in advance.
My husband and I are going to Paradise Island on Jan. 21st till Jan 27th. Im wondering what is best secluded beach in Paradise Island or Nassau? Also, what sights do we need to see while we are there?
Does the jitney bus go to Palm Cay on the east side of New Providence?
I hope this isn't too general. I would like to visit one of the Bahamas out islands (not Grand Bahama or Nassau) for the first time but am having difficulty choosing which island. I want to go early January 2014.
Things I like to do are snorkel, explore island by scooter or bike, SCUBA, laz on the beach, kayak, site see,
Q1. Will the water be cold? The island chain is maybe 200 miles North to South so maybe water warmer in the southern islands?
Q2. Based on my interests and time of year, which out island would you recommend and why?
Q3. Any lodging recommendations? I would like good value. No top end expensive places.
Thanks for your help.
What is the daytime temperature in North Eluthera and is the climate there similar to Miami during the same months of the year?
Has anyone been to Atlantis, Bahamas? I need some info on how much to plan for meals and water every day since this is not an all-inclusive resort.
Good day! How much the ferry from Orlando to Paradise Island Bahamas?
i'm taking my kids on a 4 day cruise to freeport and nassau, we will have 1 day in each place, i've done some reading, and i'm looking for a nice beach, clean with ammenities like restrooms, maybe shopping nearby, jet ski rental, some reviews say beaches are clean, some say they are dirty, my kids are ages 21 to 11, which beach should we go to? i'm leaning toward paradise beach or lucaya....and whats the best most economical way to get there?
I am planning a 3 night 4 day vacation to the Caribbean sometime in April 2013 with my wife. I am looking for an all-inclusive package deal (food-flight-hotel). Can someone suggest a good location and a website for affordable resorts. We are not looking for anything over the top or fancy.
Thanks in advance
Hi! My boyfriend and me would like to book a round-trip on the Bahamas in may. (Nassau - Grand Bahama - Abaco - Eleuthera - Cat) The flights are expensive and the most flights are available just with a stop on Nassau. Are there other possibilities to hop from island to island? I heard about those water taxies. Are they available any time and between all islands? We want to make sure not to sit on a island and not coming away anymore. Sorry for my english ;) Please help us! We don't know what's better: to book every transfer now or to look when we're there?? THANK YOU!
We are a group of 6 adults on a cruise stopping in Bahamas, (Nassau) riding the ferry to Paradise Island.
We want to find a free beach with changing facilities. Any other must see day trip while we stop at Nassau instead of beach? Thanks

Hi! We're a family (kids 9 and 12)from Norway travelling to NY in November - we're then thinking of flying out to The Bahamas for a weeks break before heading home. We'd ideally like somewhere fairly quiet, nice beaches and a relaxing atmosphere. We'd prefer to avoid big hotels and areas where all historic influence and authenticity have been wiped out. Any suggestions on which areas would be a good to have a closer look at?
