I will be holidaying in Skala Rahoni in a couple of weeks. Just wondered whether to take cash or are cash machines plentiful around the island. I wouldn't want to be getting on a bus to find some cash!
There is nothing in Skala Rachoni except a few hotels/rooms for rent/houses, you will have to go to Thassos town (Limenaria) for am ATM.
Many thanks, I will bring a pocket full or euros!
Hi it depends on what sort of holiday in THassos you are looking for. Rachoni is a beautiful fishing coast.Lots of lovely coastal walks and little taverna's scattered all along the coat there. You can walk from Rachoni to Prinos on the coast and find may taverna's and hotle bars.Further down there are two more beaches Pachis and Glyfeneri which both have tavernas and Pachis has a beach bar open till late.he village of Rachoni has a Bouzouki night on Fri and Sat and within the village they have Bouzouki live music in taverna's so there really are things to do. You can get the bus to Limenas for more night life. There is an ATM in Prinos which is walkable.
There are lots of taverna's, a beach bar till late and the Village has live bouzouki club/ dancing at the weekend. The ATM is in Prinos which is walkable.A fabulous coastline.
There is actually an ATM machine in neighbouring Prinos just a 15 min walk from Rachoni, just after the large supermarket.. Rachoni is a lovely part of the coast and there are lots of beach bars and taverana's along the way. It is peaceful and if you like chilling on the beach , sitting in a taverna and looking out across the Aegean in the evening it's a perfect setting. If you wander into the village of Rachoni they have a Bouzouki /dancing taverna every Fri and Sat night. Lots of fun. Scala Sotirios and Kalirachi are a short distance as is Prinos the main port.
