Snorkeling

Hi im staying at the Regent Beach hotel Cha am in january and love snorkeling but have read the water is very murky there and the only good snorkeling is to take a trip to one of the islands 3 hours away is there no where nearer as i don't one to take trips every other day thanks.

If the water is "murky ... that usually means sewer runoff. Probably better to spend your money elsewhere.

If snorkeling is your main daily activity, don't go to Cha-am, there are beatiful islands in Thailand where you can do your daily snorkel............it looks like you have no other options by taking day tour to snorkel ;-)

We were staying in Hua Hin the last time, we love snorkeling too we carry our snorkel equipment each time we travel, we went snorkel one time in Hua Hin it was awful nothing to see except a murky water.......we went to Koh Talu the next day joined the groups, the trip to Koh Talu is worthwhile, is a place to be for people who love snorkeling

We are booked now so no choice really. Ah well, trips it shall be :)
