Bus/Train from Riga to Tartu

Dear VT friends. I'd like to go to Tartu from Riga on the 13th of August. I took a look at site, but there seems to be just one bus every day at 19, arriving at 23.15. I was looking instead for a morning connection. Do you have any advice? (also trains would be ok) Thank you very much in advance!

Hi if you want morning connection, then you should take eurolines bus from Riga to Pärnu (search for connected lines) when you are in Pärnu, you will take a bus to Tartu (not eurolines any more) and you can see the schedule have a nice trip!! :)

Just take the train, it goes through the most beautiful bit of Latvia so you get to see a lot.. well with the bus too.. but trains in lativa cost near to nothing.

Thank you to all! ;-) Thanks to Merje I have now the bus timetable, can someone of you tell me the trains timetable too? I cannot find any connection in Estonia on the German DB site, it seems they don't have Estonian stations on their huge database... Thank you in advance!

I can't remember what the latvian train page was called.. just google on it. And from there see Riga to Valka(Valga) and from Valga see Estonian trains from to Tartu. Simple as that.
