I have 8 nights, 2 in Papetee, 3 in Moorea, and 3 in Bora Bora. I will arrive the 27th february. I am not interested in bathson, or staying more than a couple of hours in the beach.
Please, which are the best places to see the people living in the islands (we speak french),... which are the best trips to enjoy nature... To go around each island is better to rent a car, o to pay a taxi driver...?
I will be very grateful about your advice!
Are there great beaches near Papeete or on Tahiti? Should we take a day trip (ferry) to Moorea?
We are looking to get married in Moorea Tahiti the week of April 20th to 28th 2015 at our rental home, looking for a Universal Life minister, officiant, or similar to preform a simple service at our location and photographer please reply to my email [email] Extra special day for us and I want to make it memorable, we are NOT interested in the Traditional Tahitian Style Wedding.
I am planning a trip to Bora Bora and Papeete with my husband in January.
How is the weather there in January? Should we go somewhere else instead, because of possible rain?
January is the best time for us and Tahiti is a dream!
Can we take chips, crackers, cheese, biscuits into Tahiti? Also what about cans of soft drink?
Is there anything else people have taken in?
What is the best way to get from the airport to the Radisson Tahiti? I'm not sure if renting a car is better than getting a taxi or limo etc. Thank you.
what foods are you allowed to bring into tahiti
Hi I was wondering what the cheapest way is to get from Faaa airport to Papara.
Im planning a quick 3 night stop over trip. The accomodation I'm most likely to book offer a shuttle service for 6000XPF each way per person. This sounds quite pricey to me as the ride is only half an hour.
Could someone please let me know what the cheapest way is to get to Papara?
Are there any nude beaches in Tahiti? Just curious. Me and my partner in crime, of Battle Mountain, will be staying at Le Meridien in Papeete.
Does anyone know of a good low cost mileage free car rental from downtown Papette?
is that what the poster is really saying that the entire island is a tourist trap?
We are planning our vacation to Moorea and Bora Bora. Has anyone used the Ferry for a day trip to Papeete? Is it easy enough to get to the Ferry Dock from and back to our Hotel in Moorea?
We are planning a trip to Tahiti for Christmas this year.
What is the good, bad and ugly of travel at that time of year>
It appears that the cruise line does not have a tour to the Gaugain Museum and Smith Bot Gardens. Can you get there by Le Truck?
Can you get to the museum on Le Truck? Appears that cruise line does not have a tour here
I found a company on Moorea that does tranfers from the dock to Cooks Bay for 1000 XPF/person each way based on two people. Is there such a thing on Tahiti? I don't want to pay the horrible taxi fair and I don't know how well Le Truk will work with my dive gear luggage? I look forward to your answers :o)
I am planning a trip to Tahiti in July/August 2013 and I was wondering ig anyone had a ball park figure as to what packages run for that time frame. Thank you!

I have 2 different times to choose from for travelling to Tahiti:
April/May or November !
Which one has a more moderate climate ?

I will be arriving by cruise ship Does le Truck pick up from the port
Also has anyone used Le Truck in Bora bora and moorea
I am trying to find a pension on Moorea and the one I am trying to book is asking me to send a international bank transfer for a deposit to hold the room. I dont think they take credit cards. Is this normal and how can I make sure this transaction is safe.
In September I'm visiting Tahiti with a group of 18 people in total and we need transfers from the airport to our hotel - can anyone recommend a good service? Taxis are not a real great option due to cost and the number of people we have, so I'm looking at either minivans or a bus...
We've nearly finished narrowing down destinations and dates for our trip to Tahiti ... so now I am wondering if anyone can recommend a travel agent in Australia who is a 'Tahiti guru' and could get us great deals?
We're going to tahiti soon and would love to see some manta rays & was wondering if anyone can recomend any dive (or snorkel?)sites that would be the best (& what our chances of seeing one is) - have also heard that they have been scared off from the sites inside the lagoon on bora bora can anyone confirm or deny this!
Thanks to everyone who has helped me with narrowing down an itinerary in Tahiti to celebrate our anniversary in July / August 2011. I am leaning towards spending most of our time on Bora Bora ... and finding choose resorts really difficult after reading dozens of tips on VT and TripAdvisor. The top three at the moment for us to have 3-5 nights in an overwater bungalow:
1. Pearl Beach Resort
2. Four Seasons
3. Le Meridien
I have read raving reviews of the Four Seasons, but the Le Meridien has the turtle santuary ... and the Pearl is a little cheaper therefore we could afford to stay a little longer. The Four Seasons and Le Meridien are closer to the Manta Dive site (I'm dying to snorkel / dive with mantas).
I read one review of the Pearl saying the snorkelling is non-existent ... can anyone clarify / confirm if the snorkelling is good from the overwater bungalows at any of the three resorts above?? Snorkelling is one of the main things I plan to do while in the overwater bungalow, so I will be really disappointed if there is no coral or fish at all, just to find out I could have stayed at a different resort which had better snorkelling.
We are also thinking about spending a few nights in a mid-range room near Matira Point to do some of the bigger excursions from there (half day dive trips etc) while we are paying less per night. Any suggestions for where to stay (or not to stay) would be welcomed.
My husband and I are planning a trip to Tahiti to celebrate our anniversary. We have not decided exactly which islands we will visit yet ... but I would like to do some extra activities and curious where the BEST location is to do these things (considering value for money and beauty of the scenery). At the moment we are thinking of visiting Tahiti, Moorea and Bora Bora ... but open to other suggestions.
We would appreciate any tips ... location, website if recommending a specific company to go through and indicative costs for the following activities:
1. Helicopter flight
2. Jet skiing
3. Scuba diving (we both already have open water certifications and will bring snorkel gear but will need to the other dive equipment)
My husband and I are thinking of visiting Tahiti for 9-11 nights in July / August 2011 to celebrate our anniversary. Could anyone suggest an itinerary?
We would like a minimum of 3 nights in an overwater bungalow at the Pearl Beach Resort on Bora Bora ... but the rest is flexible. Our budget is AUD10,000 for the whole trip inclusive of approx3,400 total for return international airfares. I would appreciate some guidance about which islands we should see and where to stay on those islands.
Thanks in advance for your advice! :)
So, Hi to all from the USA. Well then I'll be going on holiday here soon in June to Tahiti and well be in the city of Papeete for a week. I'm new to this place and need any info of what to do things to see and clubs, fishing, food and more. I need a heads up on what to look out for and places to avoid. If anyone can gave me a suggestion that would be great. Thanks for your time and I'm looking forward on my trip there and hope I do have a grate time.
I'm trying to plan a trip to Bora Bora during the month of February, but am finding the airfare to be quite steep (from Toronto, Canada). Is there a better time to fly that is a good time to visit? Also, any ideas as to where it would be cheaper to fly from? I have access to some airmiles, so I could get a free flight to LAX, Europe, etc.
Thanks for any info.
