Traveling through Stockbridge to NYC--Any hotels nearby?

If i wanted to stop by Stockbridge to check out the Norman Rockwell Museum and the town, but then make my way on to NYC, are there any recommendations of a place to stay that is outside of stockbridge so that it is not as expensive?
Thanks

You might want to try hotels in Lenox or Lee which are not too far from Stockbridge. Also try the Red Lion Inn...it's a nice hotel in Stockbridge. I've stayed there before but it's been a while and don't know the rates. Stockbridge and Lenox are great little towns to walk around in.

I was going to suggest the Red Lion Inn as well. I've never stayed there but have passed by.

I love visiting the Norman Rockwell Museum. It's the perfect weather these days too. Don't forget to stop by his studio in the back of the museum.

There's not THAT much to do in Stockbridge and Lenox...whenever I went I always just stayed a full day and then headed home. Maybe there are some hotels/motels on the way to NYC off the hwy???
