Money exchange

We are coming to Stavanger for Easter weekend (arriving by plain on Friday 06.04.12) and are wondering if we can find a place to change money as its almost always cheaper to change in the country then from the outside.

Sure we will have some local currency for a bus ride.

At the airport, there is a Sparebank1 SR-Bank. They can exchange currencies. However, being Easter, i'm not sure they will be open. Many hotels will exchange Euros/dollars although at poor rates.

Your best best will be to use ATMs. You can withdraw NOK at good rates and not have to worry about finding something open during Easter.

I've changed years ago some money in the hotel or at the post-office but I will never do this again.
They have the worst exchange rates, plus a 50 NOK fee (7 euro= less than a beer) for all the transactions.
Try to get money from the cash machine in the airport.
It would probably be the best option.
Be sure that card can be used here and that you have the account "full" as everything is extremely expensive in Norway.
