When i was there a few years ago i enjoyed a visit to Temple Bar in Pub Street, which served local food and international food. I had my favourite, fish amok, but the real attraction about this place was that there is Aspara Dancing on the upper floor....and it is free!! I hope it still is. Get there early to grab a table near the front as the slow movement of the dancers who are dressed up in their costumes is a delight to watch. While searching for this place on the net i noticed that some of the recent reviews are not so great so perhaps it has changed in the years since my last visit.

Hi Steve,

The street vendors are amazing if you have a strong stomach. There are also some western restaurants available in the city center. You can check my Siem Reap and Angkor Wat pages for some details. We had our best noodle ever in a road restaurant around Angkor Wat. My wife still talks about that place with good memories.

Thanks for confirming that about street food. It has been one of my favorites in Thailand, Vietnam and Burma, so will be sure to try it

Haven and Sala Bai are hospitality schools that have restaurants making excellent Khmer food for cheap!
