Day trips from Hong Kong to Shenzhen

We will be in Hong Kong at end of year and are considering two day trips into Shenzhen. Is it possible to use the 5 day visitors visa for both trips or would the authorities want us to buy visas twice as we will be leaving after first visit?

If visa is required from your home country, you would need one for getting into China (Shenzhen). For my case, I didn't need visa for Hong Kong and China.

Thanks - I realise we need visas but do we need to buy them each time we enter Shenzhen from Hong Kong (two day trips on consecutive days) or should the first purchase cover us for both visits as they are meant to last for 5 days?

I would think you will need to buy one each time. I think they are single entry five day visas. Being Australian it shouldn't be a problem for you to get one (Americans and French can't get one and the English get charged 3 times the price). The visa costs HKD150 which is AUD 18.

Thankyou very much for your helpful advice. I have now confirmed that this is the case, so we will have one very long shopping day trip.
