It sounds great for what we want,i.e.location, parking, not a chain. Just want to have someone's opinion on the interior. Again, am not too fussy but badly mixed chintz ala English B and Bs are hard. Lumpy mattress, can't do, and mold and bugs are beyond me. Can anyone help? Have had BAD experience in New Orleans so am gun shy. Pat M
Generally mold is not a problem in LA nor, for that matter, in the southwest. It is desert and mold requires dampness.
We lived near SM so stayed at home so I hope someone who travels there will help you. Until you get a specific answer, you might type the hotel name into TripAdvisor and read the reviews there. They are often accompanied by photos. You can get reviews at:

Enjoy Santa Monica. It's a great place. Try to get out to Pasadena too. The Norton Simon Museum there is world class.
Thanks for your reply. We have now used the Hotel and it was perfect. Great Location. Bit far to walk to Pier but a bus right in front takes you there in 4 minutes. Great atmospheric neighborhood with shops, restaurants, etc. Room was tile-floored and white and beige with a great poster that I would have loved to own. People were friendly and helpful and parking was right there. I would really recommend this hotel. For those without a car, there is a city bus that takes you to the airport in 20 minutes. Pat M
Thanks for coming back with your information. It would be super if you would put a Hotel Review in your LA Travel Pages so others could find the hotel in the future.
Glad you enjoyed your trip.
