Salsa and lessons

Hi, are there any Salsa Music clubs /bars and also any lessons .(not beginner) I am arriving on my own for a few months . Thanks Peter

It's true Salsa is not Brazilian and isn't even very popular here, but they do, or at least did have a Salsa night at Sankofa, an African bar in Pelourinho. African culture is very important in Salvador and they have all kinds of interesting stuff going on at Sankofa on other nights too. Also, your Salsa ability might give you a base to learn some Brazilian dances like Forro, or even Samba, although most non-Brazilians find Samba really difficult. I hope I haven't answered too late.
