Salinas to San Jose

Does anyone know the best way to get from Salinas to San Jose without a car? I'm a student & will be in the area for a month without my car.

Thank you!

Well there's the Amtrak Thruway bus about six times a day, taking 1hr 15 minutes and one actual daily train taking nearly 2 hours. [original link] for more about that option.

You may be able to figure out a way from this local bus operators timetables

They run buses from Monterey to San José and local service around Salinas and Monterey.

[original link] has three journeys a day between Salinas and San José.

That's me out of ideas! Good luck.

I second the suggestion from Cubsur, for I used the Amtrak coach in 2006; a pleasant enough ride, and the journey included a brief stop in Santa Barbara. i thought it took a bit longer, though - but it was over four years ago
