We are maybe planning to go to Serbia in July, but we are not sure if it is too hot for a baby. I find it hard to find out how many degrees Celsius the average day temperature is in july. Do anyone know that? And do anyone have any experience on this matter?
I'm planning to make my first acquaintance with Serbia this May. My plans are to cross the border from Skopje, Macedonia and spend maybe 3 days. I want to visit Nis and then maybe through Bellgrade and Novy Sad go to Timisoara, Romania..
I'd like to see some authentic villages or scenic sites on the way.
All advices on my route will be welcome.
And we'll be driving a rented car. What kind of roads will we meet on our way?
Hallo my friends. Does anybody know the opening hours of the Mileševa monastery? Is it possible to stay there for a night? If so, do we have to contact them earlier or is it o.k. if we ask on our visit? We are two nuns and a priest.
I wish to go to Geneva (Switerland) I want to go by bus. What time do the buses leave?
My husband and I will be taking the train from Budapest to Belgrade. Just curious about how the border crossings are managed. The only non-Schengen Euro train ride I've taken before was an overnight between Austria and Italy in 2008, and they took our passports when we boarded and didn't return them til morning. Yikes.
Will we have to get off at the border to have our passports stamped? Or will we have to give up our passports when we board and get them back at the end of the ride?
We will be visiting Serbia in July and were wondering what festivals are on other than Exit? I believe there is one in Vrnjacka Banja and also one near Topola. Also are there any football matches in July they can be exhibition or friendly match?
I believe there is a border crossing from Donji Milanovac – Şviniţa. Please advise if this is possible with a car - i.e is there a car ferry across the Danube? or a bridge? If not, what is the closest road crossing to this point?
Thank you :-)
I am going by plane to Belgrade next days.I would like to know about bus tickets.I know they have electronic ones but this link doesn't work you help me?
I booked a flight into Belgrade and will be flying home from Tirana. We have 15 full days to travel. Our plan is to get a taste of the Balkans. We'd like to visit Serbia, Macedonia, Kosovo, ending in Albania.
Not sure how to best split up the time. My wife and I think we will spend the most time in Albania.
We are also considering a flight from Belgrade to Skopje. I read that it might be a pain going from Serbia directly to Kosovo. Does anyone know if this is not true anymore?
Thanks in advance and I look forward to the advice and info!
We want to travel from Belgrade to Sarajevo on 31 July in the afternoon. Our airplane from Belgium arrives at 12:00. We saw two options: the 16:00 public bus. Do we need to make a reservation for that bus and how? The other option is going by minibus organised by Gea Tours, but they don't answer my mails. We need some help...

Hi - I was hoping to spend a few days seeing the central east of Serbia - particularly Golubac fortress, Iron Gates, Vratna Gates and Gamzigrad.
Is there a good place to base myself for a few days where I can see those things as daytrips? I don't have a car so would be relying on public transport.
Or any other suggestions on the best way to cover them all?
I´m doing a big trip and I can´t find if there are train conections or if is better in bus, how can I go from kragujevac to croatia?
Just to let you know that the Kosovo governmant, such it is, is implimenting new visa regime for the entrance in the breakaway province of Kosovo and Metohija.
87 countries are on their List of Visa requiraments among them are Russia, China, India to name few.
The EU countries like Spain, Slovakia, Greece, Romania and Cyprus who did not recognise "Independent " Kosovo Republic entrance is still Free but Reports on the ground say that the border police rezrve the right to turn any national of the 5 States back and refuse entry.
So to all of youwho are planing visiting Kosovo make sure you have all valid documenta including Visa if needed be.
Happy & safe travels!
I am planning a trip to Bosnia, Serbia and Montenegro this summer and wanted some advice on a possible itenary and any tips on transport, places to see and stay in the three countries.
Basically I have about 7 days and want to see as much as possible. Novi Sad, Belgrade, Sarajevo, Mostar and Pristina are all on the list. Is this realistic?
I will travel to GUCA festival in Serbia.
My train will arrive to Belgrad on the 09th of Aug, around 6-6.30.(in the morning)

We will be travelling around Balkans during next two weeks and we're thinking about going Ohrid from Belgrade.
We know that, there's a direct bus and at what time and how much is it? Also if we take the Skopje train, can we find easily Ohrid bus from Skopje and go there quickly?
Our main aim is visit Ohrid and Bitola same day. Is it realistic? (Half day Ohrid - Half day Bitola and then from Bitola coming back to Ohrid and stay there. It is better to ask this in Macedonia forum i guess.)
Thank you for your help about Belgrade to Ohrid.
I would like to drive from Skopje, Macedonia to Prizren, Kosovo, Serbia.
Any restrictions for US citizen?
Would I later be allowed to drive into Montenegro without first leaving Kosovo and entering Serbia first?
Does anybody know of a reasonably-priced rental car company that will allow me to drive into all of the following countries?
Albania, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Macedonia, Serbia, Croatia, and Montenegro
I am planning a 35-day trip there and just found out that the awesome10/day car I rented in Munich cannot be driven into those countries. In fact, I found a similarly good deal out of Sofia, Bulgaria but it, too, was restricted and excluded those countries.
I am presently flying into Munich but can pick up nearly anywhere.
We visited Serbia many years ago and are returning for a visit to Belgrade in May. We have fantastic memories of people, food, and places but unfortunately will not be able to tour too much this time. We propose to travel by car. Plenty of info about the usual stuff re entry requirements, security, health etc on the web. But only stuff that came up to clarify was occasional hassle at border with cars and "unofficial charges". Understand Green Card issue now sorted for EU countries. Grateful for any advice on which is best crossing from Hungary (or even Slovenia or Croatia) and any other advice to avoid border or travel and road toll hassles. Many thanks.
Good day everyone,
I searched through the forum looking for information on the Uvac River (the famous meandering formation). I'm planning on visiting Serbia in May this year and would like to see this. How would I get there? Is there a specific entry point? Can I visit from Belgrade or Nis? I don't have much time in the country unfortunately. I thought about driving myself but I'm unfamiliar with the area (and I'm horrible with directions). Any information would be helpful. Thank you!
We're travelling to Serbia this fall. Can I rent a car in Szeged and drive to Sanad and back without too much trouble at the border? Or am I better to take the train from Budapest to Subotica and rent a cab.....for say 3 or 4 hours (any idea what that would cost?)
Il be in Serbia for ten days as from the 4th of December. I have never experienced winter before and I am quite sensitive to the cold. What items of clothing are essential? Do I really need waterproof boots? Does it rain or snow or is it just chilly? Also, what do ladies usually wear on a night out clubbing in this season? I want to bring a small luggage so I just need the absolute essentials. Please help me out, thank you.
I'm planning to return to Serbia in 2012 and am looking for new hidden gems of places to visit. I don't really have anything in mind yet as i have visited Belgrade, Novi Sad and Nis in the past. I really like castles, fortresses and military history so if anyone can recommend places with connections to these i would be most grateful. Any wonders of nature are also welcome
I'm planning to spend a maximum of one week in Serbia. Not much time. Daytrips are another option i guess, assuming the rakija doesn't get the better of me the night before ;)
Can someone tell me if carhire in Serbia is a sensible option realistically and financially?
My thanks in advance!
I read somewhere on wikitravel and other websites you have to register with the police within 24 hours from getting a Serbian entry stamp.
Im only going to be in Belgrade for 16 hours or so and then ill be on a train to Bucharest without staying a night in Accommodation.
If i do have the register (Eu citizen) what do i need to bring to the Police Station and how long would it take.
I would really like to cycle from Belgrade to Sarajevo, via Wooden village (Mokra Gora). But instead of bringing bike with me, I am thinking of renting a bike. But on internet I don't find any information on renting a bike. I know it would be impossible to rent it for the whole route, but maybe I can split sections and rent another one on the way.
Has anybody any information about it and if this is possible at all?
Thank you very much in advance!
OK after 6 weeks in the Balkans I,m desperate for Thai food:) Does anyone know if there is a decent Thai restaurant in Belgrade????

Also I'd appreciate your tips on some reputable car hire companies in Belgrade as we'll need to get to Croatia (Istra) for a couple of weeks during our trip. Looking forward to your tips, thanks.
