I'm arriving in Israel on Sunday, 30 March and need to go to the Jordanian embassy in Ramat Gan on Monday morning.
Is it advisable to stay in an hotel in Ramat Gan? Are there any hotels in the area that are not too expensive?
There is no need to stay in Ramat-Gan. The embassy is about 300-400 meters from Tel-Aviv. You can stay anywhere in Tel-Aviv and easily get to Ramat-Gan and the other towns surrounding Tel-Aviv. From anywhere in Tel-Aviv to anywhere in Ramat-Gan is not more than 30 minutes on a bus or taxi. As I said, the emabassy is even closer as it right next to the border of Tel-Aviv and Ramat-Gan.
There are some hotels in Ramat-Gan, but they target business people and are located in an area with no touristic value. In Tel-Aviv you can find both high end hotels and cheap hostels and most of them are located next to the beach or in other places with touristic value.
BTW, you can check out http://www.emap.co.il. They have an English version of their dynamic map. There you could see the exact location of the embassy and how close it is to Tel-Aviv.
