i will be in malaysia with my husband and 2 kids from 14th nov to 17 nov 2011.what is the weather like now there?i would like to visit genting highlands, fraser hills, berjaya hills, melacca & putrajaya.i,ve booked my hotel at corus,KL.please suggest me the best & cheapest ways to reach the above attractions from corus hotel.is the weather favorable to go to the highlands and hills??is it possible to go to putrajaya and melacca on the same day?are they on the same route??plenty of doubts:o!what are the other places of interest in malaysia near to Kuala Lumpur??
Hi, I do not think you can travel to all the places that you mentioned in three days. I suggest you should concentrate on Genting Highland, Putrajaya and Malacca only. If your time spent in Genting can spare you to travel to Berjaya Hill then, you can continue from there. After Genting then you may proceed to Putrajaya when on the way to Malacca. The best advice I can reconmend is that you spend one day at each destination, that's four days.
weather in kl lately is quite bad. heavy rain non stop every single day.
Corus hotel is at the heart of the city. walking distance (depending on the tolerance of weather) to KLCC and other malls. IMO, u should spend 1 full day in putrajaya + KL city. i will reckon hindu temple at Batu Cave in KL. biggest hindu statue in the world.
for second day u should visit melacca. 2 hours away from KL and plenty of good food, worth spending a night. please book ur hotel in advance. its school holiday in malaysia so most hotel in melaka will be fully booked.
Berjaya hill & franser hill and quite far away from KL.i doubt u have time to make it a day trip. besides, there were reported landslide cases during raining season, so u might reconsider visiting these places. u may visit genting highland (theme park + casino) for day trip. it is very convenient, u can get taxi for Rm100 per trip, or get the bus from KL sentral. less than RM15 per tix.
As per the other replies, the 4 days will not be enough to cover all. You should also try to spend 1 day in Malacca & spend the night there, and on your way back to KL, you can stop by in Putrajaya. Alternatively, you can go to Putrajaya, on your way to Malacca.
From Corus hotel, you can take the LRT (KLCC Station) to Terminal Putra Gombak & take a bus to Genting Highland. It's abt half hour journey to Genting from there. I'm not sure how much is the bus fare though.
There are several other places of interest around KL that you can bring your kids to, such as the Aquaria, Butterfly park & Bird park. The bird park has a large aviary, with performances at designated time. Your kids also get to feed the birds too.
