You didn't mention what time your conference will end, but you can probably do a city tour of PP in the afternoon. Depending on how much time you have left, you can visit the crocodile farm, butterfly farm, bakers hill.

In the morning (again, you didn't mention your exact departure time), you can arrange a half day Honda Bay tour. Just make sure you leave early morning and confine the tour to 1-2 islands.

I think it's possible but you may have to stay overnight in Sabang. Most packaged tours leave early morning from PP to Sabang so that's not an option for you. You may arrange for a private van (if you're a group) but again, there's a cut off time for the cave/river tour (I think it's 2pm) so you may not have enough time to catch it. PP to Sabang to UR is about 2.5 hours.

If you take the public transpo, it's the same thing. You'll arrive in UR late in the afternoon (that is, if there's a jeepney from PP to Sabang after lunch). In which case, you really have to stay the night in Sabang and take the first cave tour the next day to give you time to go back to PP for your flight.

In addition to Asianbelle advise;
Do not opt to cook. It will waste your time in doing shopping & actual cooking. There are many eating places that are not expensive.

Bring enough money, borrow or rob a bank, if you will. Use your conference chance to be in this wonderful place. Don't forget to bring back live alimango and kasoy and plenty of pecture-pecture
