Any recommendations for a budget hotel or B&B along the Italian Riviera?

My husband and I are driving to Florence, Italy, from Clermont-Ferrand, France, where we live, in June. Along the way, we'd like to spend one night along the coast in perhaps Santa Margherita, Portofino or Genoa. Does anyone have suggestions for an "inexpensive" hotel or B&B that allows one-night stays along the way? Thanks, Jan

The word inexpensive does not go together well with the name Portofino. However, there is a village close to Portofino you can find accommodation without spending a fortune. Its name is Zoagli, it is by the sea, and you have a view of the Portofino harbour from there. Have a look at this website: It's the site of a hotel in Zoagli.

I can suggest you B&B Rifugio Uscio only 9 km from Camogli and Recco and you can know liguria also with trekking and hiking direct from Uscio to Portofino Park

here my web site
