Perpignan

how to get to prades fro Perpignan

Hello I am going to Perpignan at the beginning of February. I would like to visit Prades by bus. Is there a regular service daily and how much is the fare? Thanks

I think the Little Yellow Train might go there - check www.voyages-sncf.fr.

As for going from Perpignan to Prades by bus, here is a link to Les Bus du Conseil Général, schedules for Line 200 specifically, from Perpignan to Prades and vice versa.

http://www.ville-rodes.fr/bus.pdf

The Bus Company name appears as "Les Courriers Catalans"
I didn't see indication of fare on that website.

But on another website (Les Courriers Cerdans), travel Perpignan to Porta and vice versa is shown at 1 Euro per trip. That route includes Prades, which appears as the closest town on the route, from Perpignan. I think you can assume that buses of the Conseil général/Les Courriers Catalans would charge about the same.

Travel time shown is approx. 1 hour (from Gare routière in both places, which means Bus Terminal.)
In Perpignan, the Gare routière is in front of the new TGV Train Station (I didn't know Perpignan had a new Train Station, haven't been there for years. TGV means Very Fast Trains - make sure you are at the TGV Train Station in Perpignan when looking for the Gare routière in front.)

I hope this is helpful.

On the buses all over the 66 (Pyrenées Orientales) the bus is at 1€ per trip and is valid for one hour. So you can feasibly (which I've done) go from Ceret to Le Boulou, 20 mins shopping in Leclerc s/market and then get a bus back to Ceret, all for the 1€. The main bus station is just outside Perpignan mainline train station.

Thank you so much and especially for the bus schedule. I think the TGV and ter leave from the same station or very near the old train station. I look forward to seeing Prades. Merci

Yes the stations are one and the same.
