I'll get to the West Palm Beach airport and want to go to 4856 181 Ocean Ave
Palm Beach Shores, FL33404 what better way to get there?
I'll be here seven days but would like to visit Miami for 1 day
Fort Lauderdale the other day that will be worth someday?
How can I move to these places?
Something that advise me to visit more?
particularly given your travel plans, strongly recommend you rent a car. train service is limited to the inconvenient trirail west of the interstate highway so you would have to taxi to get it from Ocean Avenue and it runs infrequently and very slowly. miami is probably more than an hour each way.
interstate 95 is the fastest way to miami and fort lauderdale, but be sure of where you want to exit. fort lauderdale has seven or eight exits, miami probably more. traffic during rush hours is really bad, even more so since they created to the toll express lanes for which you will probably not have a pass.
If you go to google maps, put in origin and destination, date, and time, then click on the little bus icon you will get the directions by public transit. Looks like the travel time is between 1h 20m and 1hr 50m depending on the time you decide to travel. You can also use the map to check for transit to Miami and Ft. Lauderdale.
Hello, I live in Miami and often make the Miami - WPB drive.
As stated above, renting a car would be your best option.
Problem with buses is that #1) - time is unreliable especially at certain times of day and #2), if you wish to explore much of the city, you will be limited in time as to making connections, enduring multiple stops, etc.
You do not need a "toll pass" to travel on the toll roads - all of South Florida roads have gone toll less and you will either have the option to rent a Sunpass Transponder at your car rental place or simply have a "toll by plate" which will be added to your credit card charge.
If you rent a car I would be willing to suggest itinerary for you and help you set up a schedule which sounds logical depending on what your tastes are.
For instance, are you wishing to see the Everglades? South Beach? The culture of Little Habana?
You can easily do the Everglades and South Beach on one day but you'd sacrifice the beach during the day and be limited to afternoon and evening walking about Ocean Drive/Art Deco district and catching dinner before heading back to WPB.
Driving, by the time you fight traffic out of the beach, catch the expressway and make it back to WPB would take anywhere between 1 1/2 - 2 hrs.
If you wish to only do SoBe and perhaps drive around Coconut Grove and Coral Gables you could make a very enjoyable day out of that also.
let me know,
