Can anyone recommend any interesting ghost towns in ND? Thanks!
It's been a long time since I was last in North Dakota, and I'm not sure what type of ghost town you would consider interesting.
Many places considered ghost towns are simply a last standing building in the middle of nowhere or a couple of structures decaying in the midst of farmland with maybe a couple of families serving as the last of the population.
Here are two websites that might inspire you:
Just an addition to that list of URLs: ghosttowns.com/states/nd/nd....
So Donna when are you going through North Dakota. I will be there on a business trip in September.
Thanks all - will check the sites. Rich - will be coming into MSP, visiting there, then arriving Fargo Sept. 6th. Haven't firmed up much else yet. Where will you be (when?)?
Guess What? I will also be arriving in Fargo on September 6th from Chicago. I will be in Fargo the rest of that week on business. Unfortunately, I won't have time during the day as I'm teaching handheld computer classes, but if you and Sandy are available any evening we will have to get together. I've been to Fargo several times on business and if you want to save a little money for a really really good meal, one of my favorites is in the Fargo area, a place called Sarello's across the Red River in Morehead, Minnesota. Hopefully we will get a chance to meet up.
