where is a good place to go in nashville for a romantic evening and country music it is my 17 wedding anniversary oct 24
hi, D --
you might want to check on who is performing at the bluebird cafe ([original link]), city winery ([original link]), or the ryman auditorium ([original link]). all of those are relatively smaller venues (the bluebird is more like a club, city winery slightly larger, the ryman a small auditorium) where you can hear good music, altho not always straight country. for a comprehensive list of concerts in nashville, try [original link].
i'll let others handle the restaurants question, since i'm not particularly well versed in those. however, take a look at the restaurant section of the "virtual tourist" nashville tourist guide -- [original VT link].
good luck; i know you'll figure out a wonderful evening! and happy anniversary!

Congratulations on your upcoming anniversary! The Bluebird Cafe and City Winery (mentioned above) are nice for small-venue (i.e. intimate) music venues, and the City Winery is actually pretty good for dinner too. Or, you could have dinner downtown then walk along the waterfront. It is very romantic to walk across the pedestrian bridge over the Cumberland River at sunset. :-) The Watermark in the Gulch is really nice, a little pricey, but has free valet parking. Prime 109, also pricey, but is located inside the BEAUTIFUL, and romantic, Union Station Hotel.
