Hi - always lots going on in Mumbai. Not sure where you are staying....for live music check out Blue Frog, Hard Rock Cafe, Not Just Jazz by the Bay. If you want "nice" check out Aer or Asilo. If you want to possibly rub elbows with Bollywood (or go for great people-watching) check out Enigma at the JW Marriott in Juhu. In Bandra you'll find a lot of clubs/fun bars (many expats live in the area) such as Hawaiian Shack, Toto's Garage, etc. Pick up a copy of Time Out Mumbai and see what's happening while you're there.

As far as food...too many good places to list. I spend most of my time in the suburbs so not sure how far away you are....In town, Trishna is a great seafood place and Mahesh Lunch Home is also very good. Gajalee in Vile Parle is great - be sure to have Bombay duck (which is actually fish). Be sure to have a sizzler and a thali! Oh...I'm getting hungry. Try some snacks that Mumbai is famous for...my favorite place for pani puri is Karachi Sweets in Bandra. They have a lot of other great stuff and use only hygienic water so you should be safe. :-) Lots of good and inexpensive veg restaurants around (such as Shiv Sagar). Mohammed Ali Road is packed with street food. Cafe Mondegar and Leopold's in Colaba are very popular - lots of good choices on their menus (Leopolds was the site of shootings on the 11/26 attacks on Mumbai). Enjoy Mumbai!
