Hi,
We will be staying in the South of France (30 mins by taxi) from Monaco and will be spending a day in Monaco. I was wanting to go out to dinner in Monaco and the casino but would obviously need to dress up. I was wondering if we spend the day in Monaco would it be best to catch a taxi (transport) back to our Hotel then get ready and go back again? or just stay in Monaco for the night?? I know its very expensive in Monaco.
Cheers
We will be stopping in Monaco for 1 day in September (approx. 8am to 6pm) and am seeking advice on what we should do for the day as we aren't into the ship's organised tours and prefer to get around independently. All suggestions appreciated.
I am one of 4 ladies spending one night in Monaco in July for my best mates hen weekend any suggestions on what or where we can go we arrive Friday lunch time then leave again on saturday
I will have 5 days spare time to travel outside Monaco and I am thinking of going to Paris. I have actually have 8 days but I need to be back on Nice, Airport for flight out of France on the 8th days.
What is the best way to go to paris from Monaco? I am willing to leave Monte Carlo at night.
I just ventured out of France, and learn a bit on how the train system goes. If the best way is by train, how long will the travel time, the fare and what is the best time to leave.
I also appreciate if you can suggest an accomodation in Paris- hostel to midrange.
Thank you in advance
I visited Nice, thanks to those who suggested, now I am heading to nearby place in Italy and someone suggested me to go to San Remo. I checked with the train statio and the destination I saw is Vintigmillia. The reception in the hotel is not very helpful, but she said that its a complicated since it will take some train transfer.
now my question is.
1) How will I go to San Remo by train from Gare du Monaco? What transfers should I needed?
2) What are the places that I can visit to San Remo? Is it worth the trip? I can't travel father since I have to be in Monaco on weekdays.
3) In case, I missed the train, is there any other options to go back to Monaco by Bus? How often is the train going to Italy?
4) Is there any nearby places near San Remo that are reachable by the same train, in case I have still time.
Thank you very much in advance for your help. Your suggestion is highly appreciated.
I have some spare times on weekend and would like to ask you opinion on worthy to visit in one day from Monaco. I would like to utilize the bus or trains services. If you can suggest some places in Italy or France will be great. Things to be consider is the places to visit, compactness, and available transport option from Monaco. I will appreciate your reply.

We will be driving from Aix to Monaco on Friday June 1 and back to Marseille that night and I have a few questions.
1) where to park, I'm guessing it's best to park and leave the car for the day
2) is there anything with large crowds happening on June 1st?
3) I'm guessing that we will have 5 hours to visit Monaco (Via Michelin says 2 hours from Aix to Monaco) and I'd like to do a more scenic drive back. What's the best way to get an overview? On foot? By tourist train?
4) drive back to Marseille, which route is the most scenic? I don't think we intend of stopping anywhere else, we've been to Nice and Eze on previous trips.
Hi,
We are going to Monaco for a day from Nice, France.
We will go there by car.
People told me that I can enjoy the city much by walking.
Ok, but where should I start? I meant, where is the best place to park our car and then start venturing the city of Monaco!
Thanks.
Hi everyone. It's been over 30 years since I've been to the south of France, and I am planning a trip to Monaco next May, so I'd love to travel through France to Barcelona afterwards. What is the best travel method to allow me to visit some of the smaller culturally and architecturally significant locations between Monte Carlo and Barcelona? I can drive, but it would be one-way as I fly home from Barcelona. Is the train a good way to go? I am thinking of taking 3-5 days for the trip between Monte Carlo and Barcelona.
Any advice and suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
arriving by cruise ship Holland America. How easy /far to get from docks to Palace?
Hello everyone.
After my attendance at a festival next year im going to make my way down to Monaco. I have checked the trains and they dont arrive in monaco untill later at night.
So i want to stay a night in Monaco or near the board area, visit the country the next day then board a train to take me near San Marino at night.
I have been going through websites and i found this
Cosmopolite
COSMOPOLITE
4, rue de la Turbie
98000 Principauté de Monaco
I cant seem to find any booking details for this hotel. I know it has an adrress & located on google maps but its odd for a hotel not to have a website and book & pay thing.
With accommodation i like to book in advance & pay the price then stay. I dont like having to rock up on the day and ask for a room to find out theres none & monaco is an expensive country so id be willing to stay outside its borders
AFTER anything under100 (this is going to be a cheap holiday for me)
after more google i find this
Star Clippers,
Clipper Palace,
4, rue de la Turbie,
98000 Monaco
star clippers is a sailing thing
I dont know if anyone will know this, but our cruise ship is due to dock in Monaco on the Sun morning. Now I have still yet to book race tickets. I have no Idea in where the closest part of the race track is to the ship or the best in that matter. Hopefully a tender will take us from the ship to shore and then from there I hopefully can get my husband and myself to the race (seated seats). I gotta get this right as its his 30 birthday present. Anyone got any ideas? Hope to hear from anyone soon.
Hi, I am trying to title some pictures from my trip to Monaco in June 2010. I have a wonderful shot of the very large female statue (she looks pregnant)that sits at the end of a pier that sticks out into the sea. She is located across from the bathing platforms when you are walking back down to the cruise ships from the Monaco-ville area. Does anyone know what her name is? I googled it but nothing came up. Thanks a lot.

We will be disembarking a ship at 0700 and catching a train at 1015. We would like to walk Monaco for a couple of hours. I've read that we cannot store luggage at the train station. Where can be safely store luggage while we walk?
I will be traveling to Nice for 2 days this month end and wanted to check some details:

I'm thinking of staying at a youth hostel the Forum Hotel.
Conveniently located at Montecarlo, this property is just 200 metres from the Monaco Train Station and 25 kilometres from the Nice Airport...
As you can tell this is my first visit to Monte Carlo.
Thanks for your help and understanding.
Can you get on and off the Azur tourist train at various stops and if so do you have to buy a ticket each time

Hi,
There will be 13 women travelling to Nice for a hen weekend this September. We plan to do a day trip to Monaco. We'll probably visit the public casino, find some nice bars and have a late lunch.
Does anyone have any advice on dress code? We want to be comfortable but don't want to feel under/over dressed? Some of us are thinking summer dresses and sandals? Any advice would be appreciated?
Thanks
Hey people!
This summers I'm going to go to Monaco just 1 day. Well, I'll go to villefranche-sur-mer and there I'll take a train to Monaco. So, I guess the train stops in Monaco Ville, and what can I do? What are the most important things to see in Monaco? And how can I go to them, to move for the city, which is the best way? By car, by bus, buy train, by walk???
Thank you veryyy much!!
I will be arriving on a Holland America cruise ship and would like to visit Menton. How far is Menton from Monaco? How far is the train station from the Monaco port? I understand that the train trip is only 16 minutes.
I will arrive in Monaco by cruise ship. Once there, is it easy to get around in the Principality to see the Casino, the Palace and maybe Princess Grace's burial site? Cabs? Walking? Hop on Hop off buslines? Any information would be helpful.

We will be cruising to Monaco (have visited before) on All Saints Day and are worried about train service to Nice since this is a holiday. Should we chance a visit to Nice, or hang out in Monaco?
