I will be exploring Romania and Moldova for two weeks. Is it worth visiting Transdniestr just to satisfy curiosity? or should i spend my time and effort elsewhere?
Has anyone visited the Cricova winery in Moldova? If so, i would appreciate your feedback. Is it easy to schedule a visit? cost? Is it accessible by public transport? I heard they have an "astonishing aversion to customer contact"... is that so?
Moldova is one of the least visited countries on Earth. Largely because there isn't much to do. Transdniestr offers at least something.
If you've been to other former Soviet block countries before, it's nothing special. Lots of hammers & sickles, communist stars and Lenin pictures.
It is definitely a great day trip. Its an odd and interesting place:
