Hi folks. I´m going too miami in 12 september staying there for a week. Are there any locals in miami who will like too meet me? and hangout?
It always helps if you have written something on your own pages, telling us a little about yourself and your travels. No-one is going to meet a complete stranger just on the basis of a forum question.
We are very active as a community here on VT and many of us meet up all over the world, whether as organised groups or one-off meets between individuals. But in order to participate in our community it helps if you introduce yourself.
I agree. I myself am from Miami but would not meet someone with a blank profile, no picture, etc.
As stated above by Gwened, you should not have any trouble meeting people on SoBe especially if you enjoy the nightlife.
As I have replied on another one of your posts, it would also help if you gave us some information not only about yourself but what your interests are and what you are wanting to see while in Miami. Beach? Culture? Food? Nature (Everglades)?
Thanks, very helpful info. I will fix my profil now
Artur, if at all possible, see about a bus tour around the beach or picking up a tour to Bayside or even the Everglades if you're into an all day tour and some nature.
Otherwise, you should not have any trouble at all meeting up people on SoBe.
There are clubs for everyone's tastes from Latin to Club to Straight/Gay, dance and simply sit down.
Look to some of the older hotels for some good sit down and people watching.
Also, if you are staying in the Art Deco district, make sure and go down to Lincoln Road in the early evening and plan on staying until late at night.
Catch dinner on one of the many outdoor cafes and people watch!
Thanks for tips you have given me :) I wonder its sound stupid, but SObe is that a website? I´m gonna travel alone so appreciate all the tip you have given me, very helpful. Thank you so much.
No, not at all stupid and I apologize for reverting to "Miami-Speak".
"SoBe" is short for South Beach (where you are at).
It is simply known as SoBe pronounced So Bee.
