I am going to Malta for 2 weeks with my friends and was wondering on roughly how much basic living expenses are so I have an idea on how much money to take. Thanks.
I'm going to Malta/Gozo June 3. and is planning to rent a quad for a couple of days.
I've found a few rentals online, but find them quite expensive.
Can you tell me the cheapest way to rent a quad?
Thank you in advance :)
I am going to Malta in May and would like to have a better idea about the crowd in Malta in May as I haven't booked a hotel yet and haven't decided in which part of the island to stay. In summer I would probably avoid to stay and sleep in St Julians and Peaceville but maybe at this time of the year is not so crowded and more bearable at nights to sleep in. Would love to be a walk from the main pubs, bars & nightlife scene though! Have to celebrate my birthday in there!!! Where can i have a nice party with nice but not too young people? I am turning 39 this year!! ;-)
I am excited to spend my 50th birthday in the country of my birth during the last week of May. My boyfriend is kindly tagging along but he is a keen yachtsman and I would like to see if we can charter a sailing yacht for a day.
Does anyone know of a local company or private rental?
Hello, My Boyfriend and I are going to Mellieha for a 2 and a half days. I would like a day out seeing places and then a day on the beach/by the pool. Can you recommend places easy to get to by public transport that are worth a visit? Also, what sort of clothing should we pack. We're from the UK so i'm expecting it will feel fairly warm but i've read the wind is usually strong... does this make it cold or will we be able to sunbathe for a day? Thanks :)
Hi, I am visiting Qawra at the beginning of May. What is the temperature like around that time of the year? Is it warm enough to go swimming?
Hi. This is pretty awkward to admit, but I have managed to go broke at Malta. I`m on vacation here, and staying at my hotel until the 26th. I have no money left, including no air ticket or food/drinks etc. I get payed on the 30th, and will then be able to pay for everything. But what canI do until then? Is there any pawn shops located in Malta? The closer to Sliema the better. Anywhere a foreigner can get a loan, given he can give something in security? I`m from norway,so I got a norwegian passport, which im ready to put up for security if possible. Appriciate any suggestion!
Hi! I'm going to Malta from 1 till 8 May. I need information about good night clubs in Paceville as well as some interesting events (parties, festivals and so on). It will be nice to have links on web-sites. Thanks :)
Going to the St.Pauls area of Malta in March and even though we are all inclusive would like to try out some of the local restaurants and bars and good places that are reasonable and have good atmosphere?
We're in Malta for one afternoon in September. We're interested in the above excursion but so far have found only one VT entry about the sites.
Anyone been to the Hypogeum and the Tarxien temples?
We do rather like our burial chambers and catacombs! The Paris Catacombs were great! The Vatican ones were interesting and the Alexander ones were far too crowded.
How about these?
What are the restrictions on photography?
Would like some honest advice on a family trip for 2 weeks in Malta in July 2013.
1) Is two weeks too long to spend on Malta and Gozo with the kids ages 14, 10 and 8? We will go to beach and also do cultural things and excursions.
2) I am told the beaches are not really that nice on Malta as they are not sandy...more rocky and limestones...is that true?
3) Is it advisable to rent an apartment for 10 days in Malta and 3 or 4 days in Gozo rather than stay at a hotel (because we would need 2 rooms at a hotel which raises costs substantially)?
4 Is Malta a fun destination with kids?
5) Is malta in July as beautiful as the pictures shown on the internet with blue skies and beautiful views, and shallow turquoise waters?
Thanks for your help.
First rip to Malta in September and we are taking ipads (1 & 2) - do i need any special adaptors for Maltese sockets/supply ? thanks ...
Hi I am going out to Malta on July24th for a friend's wedding. I am looking to extend my stay by looking for a job....any pointers of where to start?
I am going to St Julian's Island, in Malta pretty soon. I wanted to go to Sliema because I heard many good things about it, but my friends suggested me to try St Julian’s. Which one would you pick? Please consider that I am interested in the nightlife as well.
can u get a map showing bus routes and timetables from bus station in valletta? thanks
From Dingli cliffs, is there a bus u can get to Marsaxlokk?
Is there any point in preordering a taxi from the airport to the hotel? I've seen on the airport website that it costs Euro 20.00 to Gzira and the hotel offers it for the same price.
Can I just grab any taxi coming out of arrival or should I prebook?
I usually use public transport but since I'm travelling with my mum it's more convenient to take a taxi.
Thanks for your input.
do u have to book in 2 hours b4 flight with Ryanair (early morning one) back to uk, also how much is early am transfer to airport(approx), thanks.
Has anyone got a solution to where on the island you could move a mobile home to legally, other than the notorious Malta campsite near Armier.
Hi fellow travellers.
We are planning a honeymoon to these two countries. We're coming to Malta on Aug 9 in the evening. Afterwards we want to go to Italy by plane or ferry, if there are routes to the mainland Italy. That was the first question :) Second: how much time should we spent in Malta? There's much we want to see in Italy, cos it's much bigger, but Malta is beautiful and interesting too. So, according to our likings (hiking, walking, nature, some hills, archeological and historical sites, oldtowns, sth like that), what could you suggest, how long we should stay in Malta? Would it be enough 3-4 days? Of course, we understand that it's not possible to see everything in such short time :)So the third question: sites/places most worth seeing/visiting in those few days.
Thanks in advance! :)
PS. We're not going to rent a car. Everywhere on foot or by public transport.
We will be at port 8am - 5pm and would love to hear what suggestions others have to fill our day. We already have booked 10am Hypogeum and will be taking a taxi from the port, Would there be enough time to plan Tarxien temples, Church of St Paul's Shipwreck, Hagar Qim temples, Blue Grotto, Marxxalox, and Valletta.? I am not sure how close everything is to the port.
Thank you Teresa
I want to travel to Malta from Murano, Venice in August 2012. What is the best way to do this? from Malta I then wan tot go to Portugal, again what is the best way to do this? hope to stay about a week on Malta so any tips, advice would be appreciated.
A question on Xlendi for those who know it. Looking at photos, I get the impression that you need to climb the steps set into the cliff if you want to wander around a bit. Is it a safe climb for young children?
Are there other gentle walks that you can take round Xlendi?
good day to everyone!
i'm new one here, so bringing my apologies if this question may seem bit stupid to some of you))
i'm planning to go to Matla in February and i'm studying all bus routes now, and i've faced that they have 'Bus and Ride' routes.. as i understood it means that you can leave your car at certain place and continue your trip by bus.. but can i use this route if i don't have a car?))
i need to go from Sliema to Circewwa and the only one direct route is #222 (as i understood) and it's 'Bus and Ride' route.. that is why i would liketo ask, can i use it if i don't have a car?))
We're thinking of visiting Malta and Gozo (mainly Gozo) this summmer, with our 5 year old son. Can anybody recommend some good places to snorkel and admire the marine life with a 5-year old? He can swim and has already used flippers and a snorkel, but of course we're looking for places where the waters are calm.
Thanks very much
Hi, I will be staying for 1 week in Mellieha in Feb with my wife and young son. I have opted not to go all inclusive as i like to try different restaurants each night but i have read on various websites that most restaurants only open at lunchtime at this time of the year.
Does anyone know if this is the case?
Is Mellieha likely to be a ghost town in Feb or is it an all year round resort?
I will be staying in Mellieha in February for 1 week with my wife and 3 year old son.
I was wondering what weather and temperatures to expect and what clothes i would need to pack.
also i was looking advice about things to do in the Mellieha and surrounding area as i might hire a car if there is anywhere to do so in Mellieha
Does this company really gives a bad service? I've read a post in an (old) question posted in the misc forum about Arriva company. He/she wrote this service is crap. What do you say?
I've found this hotel: Ramla Bay Resort on the Internet and liked the real reviews and pictures that I saw, but I've some doubts about his location.
Anyone have stayed there? There are any bus stop near?
