I will arrive at 9am, guess very unlikely to catch the ferry to the most popular resident island Maafushi at 10am from the airport. I haven't decided upon which resident island to stay and thus I wonder if there is a comprehensive ferry schedule for all ferries leaving Mele? May be I can choose an island that I don't need to wait too long at Mele?
any suggestions on the island to stay and the ferry schedule? Many thanks!
I know that Friday is holiday and with very limited transportation. My initial plan is to arrive on a Monday (around 8:30pm) and leave on Friday (around 9:30pm).
1. Is it possible to get to the island (haven't decide which one yet but would definitely not those with expensive one-island-one-hotel) when I arrive that late (i.e., 8:30pm)? There is another early morning flight but I am on waiting list.
2. Do I need to change my schedule to avoid leaving on Friday as there may not be public ferry to Male'?
Hope to get advice soon as I need to confirm the flights. Thanks!
can i snorkel there if i am not a swimmer
Can anyone recommend a company which does short-term snorkeling/diving cruises around the Maldives, with proper yachts? I know there are a few listed in , but they are all more than one week.
Hello everybody! I am flying to Sri Lanka next month and I am planning to combine this journey with Maldives. Any suggestions, how long should I stay there, where to sleep, eat, what to do, etc.? I would prefer some low-budget options.

I am planning to go to the Maldives in 2017 but wonder are there any seasons to avoid, and what months are the cheapest for flights from the UK ?

As a vegetarian, i want to know whether there are vegetarian food courts or vegetarian restaurants in Maldives. I learnt that Maldivian dishes are fish-based. So are there vegetables to be eaten? I also can't eat curries that are too hot.
Is December still rainy season in the Maldives? Is it advisable to change flight to January in order to avoid the floods in the Maldives? It is forecast La Nina will return in the final quarter of this year.
Hi, has anyone use Maldives exclusive Travel agency?
They are offering me a very good deal, but I haven't found much information on them. They require 30% deposit to confirm the booking and all payment has to be paid 30 days prior to arrival date, then I want to know if they are safe to book with. I'm going to Maldives on this July. They are always very responsive to emails.
If anyone has used this company, or knows someone that had experience with them, please let me know.
Thank you very much!
Hi, I want to know whether it is advisable to travel in Male, the Maldives in July. I just booked return ticket for less than 300 Singapore Dollars with Tigerair. Not staying more than one night as Male is smaller than Singapore and I have no money to pay for a resort stay for more than one night. I hope there is no heavy rain and no flooding during this month. There is still plenty of sunshine on each day, right?

We are thinking of visiting the Maldives between May-July 2017 for 2 weeks and appreciate this is "rainy season". We were provisionally thinking 1st May 2017. Just looking at all the climate charts it appears May has the most rain and most rainy days on average.
Anyone got any views on which is the best on average?
Hi, me and my bf are planning to visit Maldives next month. Apparently, Turkish Airlines has the best price but it has 13 hours of layover in Istanbul. We learnt that they give a free tour of Istanbul if you have more than 10 hours layover which confused us very much. I heard good things about Turkish Airlines before like good food and comfy seats but still can't decide because of the layover time. What do you think? Thank you!

I heard that there is no transfer to the island as upon my flight arrives? Where can I get cheaper transfer?
I wanna gather more information before purchasing air-tickets.
- Transfer to Island
- Place of interest
- Things to do
- Minimum Budget Require
I do not wanna overspend since I m alone.Overall Budget (exclude Air Fares & Accommodation) approximately USD1000 to USD1200. Is It enough for the whole trip?
Since both arrival n departure time is in the evening, should I check out a day before?
Please advice thanks.
I have a 9 a.m. flight out of the Maldives, meaning I will have to leave Ukalhas/Thooddo the day before. But should I spend my last night at Male Island or the airpost island? Male sounds most tempting, but will I get a ferry from there early in the morning? I think I would spend the last day exploring (if anything to see) or on the beach/by the pool. To be honest I do not really know what Male and airport islands have to offer.
Or does anyone have suggestions how to leave Ukulhas or Thooddo during the night and still catch my Sunday morning plane? Private speed boat is not an option, I will go by shared speed boat or local ferry.
Thanks from Lena

I need to get from Male Airport to Lux Maldives hotel on South Ari Atoll. The hotel transportation is by seaplane and the cost is $450 per person (from airport to resort and back to airport). Seems expensive to me. Are there alternatives available? Thanks.

Which is the best location in Maldives so that I can see most of the islands and enjoy good nightlife?
How many days minimum do I need for just sightseeing?
We are strongly considering the Maldives for our honeymoon in the last week of October and first week of November. However I have recently read mixed reviews on the weather and I just wanted to ask on here, has anyone travelled around this time and if so what has it been like? It is such an expensive trip that we would hate to think we could be rained in for the whole trip! Don't get me wrong, we wouldn't mind an odd shower here and there! Please can someone advise as we need to book soon :-) look forward to hearing from you all xx thanks.
