We've seen that it's poss to take a day trip by coach from Malcesine to Venice, but are warned it's a several hour duration journey. Alternative could be by train, but we're not close to the line/station, so may not be practicable time wise, or is it? Is the train faster than coach? Then can we join an organised walking tour on arrival in Venice?
If best arrangement is to take a package coach / walking tour etc - is it possible to book & buy tickets in Malcesine? We've only been able to find Europlan but there are prob others?
Thanks for any advice
We will be staying in Malcesine & would like to visit the Heller Botanical garden nr Gardone Riviera and on another day - the Isla del Garda - if visits by the public are permitted? What is the best way to get to those gardens? Should we take the ferry across from Malcesine & then a bus down to the Heller Botanic Garden, or take the bus South from Malcesine and then a boat across from another departure point? If visits to the Isla del Garda are allowed - how does can we get there? Thanks for any advice

Good afternoon all,
I've booked a ticket through Tren Italia from Bergamo to Desenzano but I cant get a return ticket...I'm assuming it's due to them being fully booked.
Can anyone recommend a different route I could take which hopefully won't cost me a small fortune?
Many thanks in advance
I will be spending a few nights in Verona at the end of the month and am interested in spending some time at Lake Garda, specifically in Malcesine. I have been going back and forth between making a day trip (leaving early and taking the last bus back) or spending the night in the town itself. How busy will the town be at the end of March/very beginning of April? Many hotels I've considered don't open until later in April - will a day be sufficient or would we be missing an experience by commuting back that same evening? If we should spend the night, is it an advantage or disadvantage to be right in the center of town? We will be traveling without a car and therefore taking a bus up to Malcesine.

Monte Baldo - don't need car
Some towns around the like - will use ferry
Parco Natura Viva
Venice - through isango.com - has anyone heard of them?
Do you recommend a car for this or should I use public transport? How easy is it to get to places like Gardaland or Parco Natura Viva without a car? Thanks
