i am Dutch ( the Netherlands), living in China. Can i obtain a visa on arrival on Kuala Lumpur airport?
Hello!
I'm thinking about going in Peninsular Malaysia in january or february and I'd like to try scuba-diving/snorkelling and relax on beaches, on one of the numerous little islands along the eastern coast of Peninsular Malaysia such as Tenggol, Tioman or Redang islands.
But about what I've heard, winter is the monsoon season and all the ferries and lodges are closed and cancelled. I've been in Malaysia once at that period and I didn't notice the weather was so terrible, but I guess it's justified.
So I wanted to know if there are some islands in Peninsular Malaysia that offers this tropical-coral like background for scuba-diving with working infrastructures at that period (outside of Langkawi that I already know)?
Thanks a lot ;)
Hi does anyone know of any deep sea fishing family packages/trips off Kuala Lumpur?
Thanks.
We are arriving in Penang on the 3rd December then travelling on to Langkawi. We have 13 nights in total. Any suggestions on where to stay and things to do. We like a mixture of things including sightseeing, beach and good lively nightlife. Any advice on other areas to visit would also be much appreciated.
I got an offer letter from a Malaysian employer and its 2 year contract
Now I am waiting for work pass approval from Malaysia
How long is the process time?
Does we need to do medical examination for these type of visa?

What is the best thing to do if u r in kk Malaysia for 1day? Ty
I've only been to Malaysia once, and only had time to visit Penang. While it was nice, I got the sense that Malaysia was very diverse. Next time, I'd like to do some hiking (rainforests, mountains...)
Does anyone have any good recommendations?
I will be on a business trip to Ipoh and then travel to Seremban. I have been looking on Internet blogs and now I'm wondering is it safe. I know the general concerns now for American travelers but I have never been out of the country and really need some feedback. Should I be worried to the point I can't enjoy myself? We will be in a group with business partners from Sinapore. But I'm black and my other partner is white. Will we stick out like sore thumbs?
hi, i will be travelling in December to LGK via Malindo airlines. it says layover of 6hr 40 min and connecting flight to LGK will fly from SZB terminal.

Is it possible to hire transport and driver for private tours in Kuala Lumpur? There is six of us so cars may be a problem..
I have a connecting flight to Beijing via KL that entails a 10 hour layover. Is there a direct line (monorail)into the heart of the city? Any recommendations about what to do to kill those hours. Or I'm I basically stuck at the airport? Thanks

Hello
Hoping someone can help. If I have an online etsy shop selling handmade products and were to visit Malaysia on a social visit pass for 3 months or more( with maybe one visa run) would I still be able to operate my shop without going against the terms of my pass? What if I were to make some of the products in Malaysia and post them from there? Would this violate the terms?
Thanks in advance for any help! Struggling to know what's ok or not in this situation.
Hello friends,
Me and my girlfriend are getting married in november. We plan to visit malaysia for around 4-6 days. Things we would like to do: relax beach side, go to amusement park, roam around the city. So friends any idea where we should go and even the approx budget in USD we should have? Any other exciting things to do in Malaysia?
What do you experts suggest of the below? Visiting with 3 children (11, 15, 17) and wife.
DAY 1: 3.30pm by the time we check out from the airport and check in at the hotel, and rest from early evening (fatigue from 7 hour all night flight to KL)
DAY2: all day
DAY3: all day till about 5pm (7.40pm flight to Langkawi)
a. Given the schedule for DAY 1, 2 & 3, how can we accommodate below, and in what sequence?
b. Are we missing anything special in the schedule (we are not interested in Hindu themes, like the batu cave etc)? Also, some attractions I am reserving for Days 7, 8 & 9, so please read on.
c. Should we utilize
DAY4/5/6: Langkawi
a. Given the above schedule, how can we accommodate below, and in what sequence?
b. Are we missing anything special in the schedule
DAY7:
DAY8:
DAY9
DAY10
I noticed that the temperature real feel is around 40 celcius in KL these days. Is it really that unpleasant? Will drain the energy out of us and is the whole Malaysia like that these days? :(
Greetings. I will be visiting Malaysia , God Willing, from Mar 25 to April 3.
I am looking to spend 2 days in KL; 4 days in Langkawi. that leaves me with 2.5 days. Is Taman Negara a good option? If it is, I see atleast a couple that start with Taman Negara. Which one is better to opt?
Is renting and driving a good choice, or should we opt for public transpo? How much for car rental that accommodates 5 adults along with 3 suitcases? What is an economical but trusted rental company?
Dear all,
I would be happy to get some advise on my travel itinerary around the Malay peninsular!!!
Just 1 person. Budget per day: 200MYR = 80SGD
My main interests: culture, local people, food, historic sights, trekking, nature, few days relaxing on the beach. Disinterests: Party, alcohol, shopping, meeting too many western tourists.
Guided 3 day trek in Taman Negara/Kenong Rimba would be great but costly alone. Joined tours unlikely due to monsoon. Islands east of Malaysia would be great to but also money and time consuming logistics and risky weather. Right?
Thus this is my itinerary so far (flexible "on the ground" if sensible):
What I wanted to add (but didn't know what to remove):
What is better: Kenong Rimba or Taman Negara? Are 2-3 days sufficient?
What do you think? What should I change/add/remove or should I definitely keep as planned?
Thanks in advance!
Marcus

Thanks a lot!
I am getting married in Malaysia on Aug 2 and then plan on making a 2 week honeymoon vacation.
I would like to know how to start planning for this ? I am looking for mixed experience and activities for my honeymoon and not just restricted to beaches and resorts. Most of the packages that i find online are expensive and are only about hotel accommodation. I would like to have a better experience and enjoy my trip. So if you can guide me that would be great !
Also, how much should I expect to spend for such honeymoon trip ?
Hi all,
We're a couple that has been around southeast asia backpacking for years, however we've been back in the UK for awhile so now when we're going back we'd like to relax a bit more. We have a tight budget as we've decided to go in to full-time studies as mature students so need any help available to find comfortable accommodation at a good price on the Perhenthian. We had our first valentine together on Kecil and want relive that feeling a bit but don't mind if it's there or on Besar. As we're going in high season this time we're not sure if we dare turning up without booking, first holiday in three years and sleeping under a tree does not sound ideal...
We would appreciate any help, advice, recommendations and thoughts on if we'd be playing Russian roulette by not booking in advance
Many Thanks
Elin
