Madagascar

transport from Tana to Andasibe

Just wondering if anyone can put me straight on transport from the capital, Tana to Andasibe? I know you have to walk from a junction about 4or 5km to Andasibe village but there's a good hotel near the parc national which is only a 2 km walk from the junction. The bus that takes you to the junction - is that the one that goes to Moramanga? About how long would it take and cost? Any other comments about travel in that immediate area most welcome! Cheers,

The Taxi Brousse from Tana to Tamatave stops at Moramanga and the cost is MGA15,000 per seat, Transport Vasty and Mofimanga are among the best, take the morning departure around 7 or 8 am will get you there at around 10.30 or 11.00

There are local Taxi Brousse available from T Junction on RN2 (Moramanga) which can take you to your desired place/hotel for Aprx MGA2,000~3000, Hotel Feon’ Ny Ala is the nearest to the park gate may cost you 30~35 Euro for Ensuit Room

You can e.mail or call Parc National Andasibe/Mantadia

      • Mofimanga above is KofiManga*** and the ticket booking/deprture is from Ambodivona Taxi Brousse station, better book the ticket a day in advance otherwise you may find it dificult to get 2 seats on first available departure, Ambodivona is 10 min by Taxi from Tana Center and cost MGA5,000 after bargaining.
