I have found that if you are from the US, the train fares are more expensive than if you are from the UK. If you go through tgv.com to book a fare and select you are from USA, the fare for two is192.00. If you select you are from the UK, the fare is 58 GBP or95.70. They offer e-tickets so no problem getting the tickets. The problem is the billing address of the payment card. They require a UK post code. If your credit/debit card billing address is not in the UK, you cannot buy the ticket. Looks like discrimination. I am having the same problem with train fares from Paris to Barcelona. If you book at the spanish website, you save a bundle. Can anyone advise me how to get around this problem?
