SIM Card for iPad Mini?

We're trying to find a way to be able to use our iPad Mini while we are out and about on our trip to Europe in April.

We'll be starting in London and then eventually going to Belgium and Netherlands.

What company would anyone recommend that we could get a relatively cheap data plan to be able to use for a couple of days in London? Are there any plans we can get that would allow us to also use the device in the Low Countries too? Or would we need to a separate plan for those places?

To be able to use most of the apps (such as maps, GPS, internet browser, etc.) you need an internet connection. Basically, we want to be able to look up (on the go) where to go next, what is nearby, find bus/train schedules, etc.

Unless you are connected to a wi-fi network, then you need to use a SIM card and have a data plan (like a cell phone, although without being able to call). Then you can access the internet anywhere you'd get cell coverage (basically everywhere).

So I was just wondering what company would offer the best plan for we are looking for. Or is wi-fi readily available that we wouldn't need a data plan like this? The main thing we want to use is the dynamic maps - we want to be able to pull it out and see exactly where we are, what is nearby, be able to lookup something and get directions to it, etc.

Most hotels will have wifi or you can always go to McDonald's, worldwide I believe.
