Easter in London and Bath

We (mom and I) like Easter and we love chocolate. Are there any special happenings around town in London on the Easter weekend in either London or Bath that involve Easter and/or chocolate? We are doing the day tour to Bath/Stonehenge on Easter Sunday, so we weren't sure what was going to be open in Bath.....last year Mom and I were in Venice for Easter and some of the bakeries had GIANT chocolate eggs on sale (about 2feet high and all dressed up like wedding cakes!) and alas I didn't buy one but would sure love to buy one this time if there's something cool like that in London (we're staying just a block south of King's Cross). Or can someone suggest a good chocolatier in London or Bath?

Have a look at the Visit London website for some ideas about what's going on that weekend:

Or at Time Out:

You'll see though that most of the chocolate-related things are aimed more at kids than adults. But don't let that put you off, as there's plenty happening, and you can always satisfy your chocolate cravings at shops such as Hotel Chocolat (

You will not have a problem finding chocolate Easter eggs, all over England (for all ages)
Thornton's have a good range at reasonable prices and the chocolate is not too bad

There will be, as noted, a zillion chocolate eggs available in the UK whilst you are visiting. There are the ordinary Cadbury/Rowntree ones, the slightly-more-upmarket Thorntons, Green & Blacks & Marks & Spencers and also those made by individual chocolaiers.

Thorntons is a good-standard chocolatier (in terms of European chocolate), but is now a national chain rather than an individual shop.

There's a list of specialist chocolatiers in London here:

and Bath has a long-established specialist chocolatier in Guillbert:

All will have their own range of chocolate eggs for Easter, although you may find the range more limited if you are looking on Easter Saturday, Sunday or Monday.

I am sure that Harrods will have an excellent selection of chocolate eggs and Easter related items. If you have never been to Harrods before it is extremely interesting to waander through the food halls and see the selections on display.
Don't know if M &M's near Picadilly Circus will have anything special around Easter but it wouldn't surprise me if they did.

Thanks, all! Yah, I wanted one of the really BIG ones to take back home. I'm preparing a spot in my bag for it! :)

Hi.. I think you will definitely want to check out Fortnum and Mason on Picadilly if your keen on big eggs. I haven't been in myself to see it but they seem to be selling a "Colossal" egg. I am sure the rest of their chocolates and Easter range will also be to die for.
