Lisbon

tickets for Teatro Tivoli April 28 or 29

I will be arriving 4/28 early morning, for 2 days in Lisbon before a bike tour. I am trying to read the schedule for 4/28. Am I correct that there is a Russian ballet performance? Can I buy a ticket if available directly from a box office there during the day? Any help would be appreciated, I always love to do a concert/whatever when traveling. Thanks!

Hello!

Yes, there's Gala Ballet, but it seems it's only on 26.

At 29 you can watch them in Sintra.

You can check that in Ticketline website.

Cheers.

Oh, and by the way, if you like to go to a live concert, you should think about a Fado night!

Plenty of places in Bairro Alto, although you don't understand the lyrics, I am sure you will enjoy the feeling and emotion in the songs.

I think that you have already the most useful information, however, if you want to, you may join fado and portuguese folklore in the touristy fado houses, such as "Adega Mesquita", or "O Forcado", both in Bairro Alto or in "Páteo de Alfama", in Alfama quarter. Be prepared to a good but expensive dinner in all those places, easily reaching 50€. If you're in a budget, then look for "fado vadio" the local name to amateur fado. There are several places where it "may" happen, in Bairro Alto and Alfama, but it is not a regular performance. In Nini (see my tip) you may have a good dinner at a normal price, with amateur fado from 22.30 each thursday.
