I'm thinking about visiting Lisbon in the Summer. Can anyone recommend anything? i like quirky interesting, not really touristy things. Any cafes, music places, nice cheap places to stay.
Thank you in advance.
Check out the VT Travel Guide for Lisbon, it is full of good, up to date information.
Thanks very much Rosata, I will do that.
This tip is from Solodancer (Gabe) but this is a really nice hotel at a great price. I stayed there at his recommendation a few years ago. Ask for a room that is up top as the views are spectacular.

Lisbon is a "small" big city, concentrating everything for all tastes. You just have to know what do you want, and search for it. The pages in VT may be very helpful showing each other experiences and opinions. You have plenty of time before summer to browse those pages, selecting what you think that may interest you, and even to contact directly the authors of the tips that make you doubt anything.
When you're looking the the VT Lisbon travel guide make sure you look at the 'off-the-beaten-path' tips (click the 'More' tab).

Awesome- we were there for Easter and it was great! Would really recommend the Lisbon free walking tours. They take around. 3 1/2 hours with a local guide and you get to see Lisbon off the Beaten track and also get loads of great ideas of where to go for local food, night life etc. There is so much to see and do and great places to explore and we will be back again!
Oh that is fantastic, thank you for the help
Thank you, I will certainly look into that.
Hi Annie, in future, if you wish to visit my area, just south of Venice, happy to help you, so don't hesitate to contact me. I have a blog with tips about Venice for free. Take care. Roberto
