We're planning to stay in Las Palmas for a week over New Year. Two questions:
1) What part of the city is the best place to stay in? I assume it will be too cold to actually go swimming, but maybe it's still a good idea to stay close to Las Canteras? Basically, we want to stay in an active neighborhood, with lots of people moving around both day and night (restaurants, bars, and shopping). Is the old town better? Or somewhere else?
2) What does people do on New Years eve? Are there any gala dinners, big parties etc we can sign up for?
Can anyone tell me of any bars showing Sky Sports as we are visiting on Tomson Dream on 18th Nov. Cheers
We arrive via cruise ship on December 7th at noon. We have about 4 hours for a tour. Any suggestions?
