please advise the best place to party in Kiev
We will visit my wife's family this summer and this time I want to rent a car. We tried this 4 years ago, had the reservation and price all settled a month prior, over the internet with Eurorent Rental Agency. When we showed up at the reservation desk to pick up our car, we found the agent bumped the already steep price up by300 US. He would not budge and I wouldn't pay the guy's personal "fee"; so we took the train.
My question is if anyone has had success in renting a car from borispol or any agency located in Kiev?
Where can I buy one bottle each of vodka and whiskey and wine in Kiev?
Also could you suggest which brand is good?
I will be taking this as souvenir. Even if its bit higher priced no problem.
I'll be in Kiev on Wednesday 3 October and looking for things to do that night.
Can anybody suggest a good night taking in a few bars etc?
I have to reach Anapa in 11-17 June 2007 from Lithuania. Does anybody know how I could do it in cheaper way? It is easy for us to get to Kiev. Are there any cheap flights to Krasnodar or Anapa from Kiev? Is there some train or buss? Maybe night train? Where I could check info?
Thank you in advance,
Does any body know the price (approximately) for the IC overnight train going from Kyiv to Berlin, please?

Q: I will be in Piraeus, Athens, and Larissa in Greece from 20 August until 3 September. Then I am to be in Kiev from 10-18 September. What am I to do during that intervening week? Any suggestions will be appreciated and considered seriously. I do not mind the mode of travel; bus, train, boat, goat cart, or ... perhaps just the goat if he can carry me. Places high on my list include: Crete, where I lived for two years Thessaloniki Albania Skopje Macedonia Yugoslavia Moldava Romania Obviously, I cannot do it all in one week and I do not want everything to become nothing more than a blur. I enjoy combining history with my travels and really hated that I was not allowed to visit any of the former Soviet influenced nations when I lived in Greece. The only places on the above list where I have been before are Greece and Romania and I love them both. Thanks in advance for all who try to help!!
1)how do I get from the train station to the airport? I should arrive at the train station around 7-8am and my flight to Tallinn is at 11am, is that enough time? 2)is it possible to find a Ukranian student who speaks English and I can pay them for 2-3 hours of translation work to help me get to the airport? thanks [email]
