Hi there, please advise on the best way to get to knysna, the best areas for accomodation and how to get hold of activities organiser (eg horse riding, sunset cruse and the lake tour.)
I'll gte you started with the transport component of your question.
Given that you're based in Pretoria, it's a long drive, so the easiest and quickest way to get to Knysna is probably to fly from OR Tambo into George. SAA operates on this route, but you'll probably find a better fare on Kulula or Mango. From there, the easiest way to Knysna is to hire a car, as I'm not sure what there is these days in terms of public transport.
If you have a car, then you can obviosuly drive, but it would be about a 12 hour journey, depending on how fast you drive and how many breaks you take.
Have a look at the Knysna pages that other members have compiled, as my local knowledge is probably too outdated to be of much use: [original VT link]
If you have a car, the one place in the surrounding area that I would recommend you don't miss are the eccentric beachside castles outside Noetzie.
Hi Cathy, thank you very much.you have help me so much.
