The "MURNEY" in Tower??

I would like to know about the name "Murney" tower. Who was this person, what was his roll in the building of the tower, what was his familys heritage and background, what was his rank in the army back then and if there is still existing family alive now?
Thank you,
Darlene Murney

should be helpful.

I am sure that if you contact the Kingston Historical Scoiety they will be more than happy to help with any additional information they may have about Henry James Murney (after whom the tower was named).

The person who had a role was Murray actually - so it seems. See

Welcome to VT. This thread dates from 2009 (questions and posts are all dated) so it's a bit of a blast from the past!

The wiki article does not answer any of the OP's questions (if it did I would have linked it in 2009, if it had existed). Hopefully the historical society was able to help.
