We would like to visit Graubunden Region for the Easter holidays.
Can anyone suggest a good self catering accommodation please?
And any suggestions where are the best places to visit please?
I'm going for a short trip to St. Moritz - 2 nights there. I'm not a skier but I look fwd to go to the mountains to enjoy the view and to enjoy a little bit of the snow.
I liked the following places which I think are close by to St. Moritz and close to each other too - Diavolezza, Piz Nair, Piz Corvatsch and Muottas Muragl.
I suspect I wont be having the time to go to all 4 of them but would love to go to 1 or 2 and I would love to seek suggestions from fellow VTers here - to which 1 or 2 places should I go?
Another thing - besides paying for cable car / mountain railways up there, do I have to pay any entrance fees although I dont ski?
When going to Switzerland I'll take a train ride there.
I know that hitchiking doesn't have to be a safe way of travelling but wanna ask. Does anybody have a good experience with hitchiking in Switzerland? Do people give you a lift often?
I just re-checked a travel schedule. It now appears all trains that formerly ran from Scuol-Tarasp to Pontresina now originate in Ardez. There seems to be shuttle-bus service from Scuol-Tarasp to Ardez. Does anyone know what happened? Is this permanent? Just curious...
I know Graubünden tends to start its summer season a bit later than the rest of the country because of its snows. We'd like to explore this part of Switzerland, but it looks like the only time we could get to this area is early to mid-June. I've heard a lot about the mountain hotel at Muottas Muragl and thought it might be fun to stay there. The website seems to indicate it would be open, but I'm not sure if it would be worthwhile so early in the season (we'd prefer to do some hiking if possible). Would you recommend I press on to Muottas Muragl, or should I "stay in Scuol"? ;) Thanks!
We would like to travel the Bernina Express one way (Chur-Tirano or Tirano-Chur), but not both ways. Is that possible, coming from Milan? How can one get to Chur from Milan - I mean any way other than Bernina Express? Any other related suggestions - we are quite open at this time.
In the maps, I see there is a city called "Vadus" and it looks bigger than Chur. I wonder why it is not in this site VT?
Is there hotels and shops in that city?
Anyone ever been to Braggio or near by ?Any pictures? Thanks!
