Suddenly I need to go to Jamaica, Montego Bay because of my job. It seems that I can obtain my tourist visa at the airport. How does it work? Thank you
A tourist visa does not let you go to work; rather it allows you to spend time doing things you would do on a vacation. If you want to work, you are going to have to get a working visa, which of course means a longer and more complex process that you most certainly cannot get on arrival.
Check with the nearest Jamaican embassy.
Thank you a lot. But mainly I'm just a visitor. I don't do anything. But need to be there. I'm on vacation totaly without any pay or something just meeting people, knowing the country and having fun. Nothing else. :D
It's impossible to comment accurately because as with almost all questions regarding Visas you fail to mention the single most important piece of information: Your nationality.
I have 2 different nationalities: croatian and italian. So, what should I do?
Not all nationalities (i.e. your passport) require a visa to enter for tourism. I believe EU citizens need a valid passport but no visa, but as these requirements do change over time, it is best to check with local Jamaican consular services.
It appears that Croatians can enter without a Visa for 30 days, and Italians can enter without a Visa for 90 days.
Thanks a lot Martian24! Thanks to your "intervention" watching the web site you shared with us I realized that I was thinking that I can get short 2 Week Turist Card paying 10$ tax at the Airport and then I figure out that this is possible in Republica Dominicana and not in Jamaica. :D
