My fiance and I are traveling to Ireland at the end of March. We're flying into Dublin and then driving to Killenard where were staying for one night. From there we are driving to Killarney for a two-night stay. Then it's on to Mayo for another two-night stay, and finally we're driving back to Dublin where we'll spend one night. Since we're not from the area we'd love any suggestions on things to do either in those towns or places to stop along the way. We're in our 20s, and we love hiking, exploring new towns and stopping at a pub or three for some beer and live music. Any suggestions??
I am guessing this is a Travel Agent arrangement with the Heritage then a top Killarney Hotel then Ashford Castle??
Cahir and Cashel are possibilities for sights between Killenard and Killarney. From Killarney to Ashford is a long drive but it could include a diversion from Ennis onto the coast for the Cliffs of Moher up to Kinvara then back onto the N18 towards Galway, to Headford and to Cong.
For this leg I did a map for someone there last year http://goo.gl/maps/iSQcB The N59 from Galway to Leenane has some spots worth a look? ireland.activeboard.com/t500...
