Can someone help me with these questions? I am likely to land a job in Sulaymaniah and have these three questions.
1. Is it safe now considering the recent disturbing events in Erbil?
2. I am likely to get USD7000 apart from house and food allowance. Is this enough for one person?
3. I am a vegetarian. I do not eat fish / sea food, red meat, poultry or anything non-vegetarian. Will it be difficult for me to find a decent eating place?
Please help. Many thanks

Hello, has anyone been to Erbil, Kurdistan this year or late last year?
If so I would be most grateful for first hand information on the cost of living, the things that I should take, and the things that I should not do. I will be there for quite a while so any information that you feel may be of use to me would be well received. I've travelled in Lebanon in 2004 and 2005 so am used to the basic customs of the Arab world and speak basic Arabic but have little knowledge of Kurdistan. Thank-you and the best of luck to all.
