I want a plan a trip to Goa with my friends, and require some help with planning for the whole trip.
We are all from Delhi, and we need all kinds of details given on how to plan a trip to Goa from traveling from Delhi to sightseeing in Goa and coming back home.
We are not too sure on how many days we should stay in Goa as well, so all the information provided such as places to see and things to do will allow us to find out what the duration of our holiday would be.
Hi - I think you need to do a bit of research first to see what you want to see/do. That will help you determine how long your holiday should be. Do you plan to go to the beach? Tourists go to Goa for months but spend most of their time on the beach. I think 4 full days is enough.
You can fly from Delhi - check [original link] to see the airlines' schedules and pricing. You should book directly on a particular airline's site though - saves a bit of money and it's easier to deal with the airline if you have any changes. The earlier you book, the cheaper the fare will be. For accommodations you can use [original link]. Check the reviews of the hotels and check the hotel site as well to compare prices. Best to stay in North Goa - Candolim, Baga, or Calangute will be the best choices. I see you are coming with your friends so I think Baga or Calangute would be a better choice.
It's easy enough to make the bookings on your own. You can rent scooters/bikes once you're in Goa or hire taxis for your duration to take you sightseeing. Things to see include Old Goa, Dona Paula, Dudhsagar Waterfalls, Spice Plantations, Dolphin Boat Trip, etc. You can check for some ideas on my Goa page if you like - [original VT link]. Another site you might want to look at is [original link], which will have specific info on clubs, etc. if you want that.
Let me know if you need any other info.
When I went, I arranged for a chauffer driven van on daily basis and visited places for 3 days. Main attractions being temples, churches and beaches. Boat cruise and ferry trips to key attractions also should be tried. Spicy garden is another interesting place we went.
Don't miss some important beaches in Goa while your trip,
If you have any queries feel free to ask.
I often go to Goa, I never really plan to see things in Goa. Its a beautiful place. There are so many beaches you can go to (The list is mentioned in the above comment).
Goa has a very cheery and happy vibe. I would suggest pick the best beaches (some are best to relax, have a cold beer and enjoy a good book and Music and some are crowded with tourists, parties and beach activities).
My personal favourite place is a greek themed Restaurant called Thalassa. One of the best sunsets I have seen.
Frankly you will find all sorts of things to do. Chose your beaches, Restaurants and enjoy good Food and amazing beaches.
Hope this helps
