Hi [VT member 93f85], I'm from Cagayan de Oro City and I have a trip to Boracay on the 2nd week of December. I just wanna ask about the Ceres Bus or Shuttle Van schedule going to Caticlan Port. I will arrive soon at Iloilo international Airport at exactly 2:30pm so can I still catch up the Ceres Bus or Shuttle Van going to Caticlan Port? It's my first time to visit Boracay I hope you can help me...
I believe you will miss the Ceres bus servicing Caticlan if you arrive at around 2:30. You may still be able to get a Ceres bus going to Kalibo however and make a transfer in Kalibo using vans or buses going to Caticlan. The shuttle vans however seems to be available as long as there are passengers. There is no schedule since they leave Iloilo only if they are already full. Still, the worst case scenario is you get a trip to Kalibo if you cannot take a direct ride to Caticlan.
So, If I missed the Ceres Bus going to Caticlan, then if I'm going to take ride the Ceres Bus going to Aklan then ride again the Van going to Caticlan so is it a good option?
If you can't find a bus or van going to Caticlan directly, you can take the bus or van from Iloilo to Kalibo and from there you can then take another transportation to take you to Caticlan. Personally though, I wouldn't want to do so many transfers. At 2:30, there would still be vans plying the Iloilo to Caticlan route. The fare for the vans however as compared to the buses will be slightly higher.
Ah.. Okay. Sir, so my next option would to take the Van aside from the Ceres Bus if I'm going to miss the trip? Is that what you mean Sir?
Yes. The vans from Iloilo to Caticlan would afford you at least a continuous trip rather than stopping at Kalibo to transfer. You have several options available to you. Just make sure you are able to leave Iloilo immediately.
Sorry Sir if I have many questions. :)
Another thing is that what is good to ride from Ilo-ilo Airport going to Tagbak Terminal is it a Shuttle Van or the Taxi to make it fast?
Taxi would be the fastest of course although taxis in that airport normally goes for a contracted rate rather than using the meter. It's usually 300 to 500 PHP (contracted) from the airport to Tagbak terminal. You can however get a shuttle in the airport that goes to SM Iloilo (only 50 PHP) and from there take a taxi or jeepney to Tagbak terminal.
Okay Sir, you're very good person and thank you for the replies and help.
Keep it safe always ang God speed!
